Wanganella

Wanganella sheep are renowned for their ability to produce heavy cutting, long stapled, bright white, soft handling fleeces from large, fertile frames. Having been bred, for in excess of 150 years, to survive and prosper on the treeless, old man Riverina Plain, the constitution and conformation of the Wanganella sheep fits them to produce in most areas.

The breeding program seeks to refine the established and proven qualities of the Wanganella sheep to produce a comprehensive Merino that will maximize producer returns through a balance of wool, frame and fertility traits.
